Whether you choose to float in the summer with lazy, tranquil floats or in wetter seasons when rivers flow faster and offer more challenges, you will find all the streams take on a different beauty each season. A two hour or an all day trip in the wooded hills on a clear, cool stream, and enjoying the superb beauty, is a perfect way to relax in the Ozarks.  

Big Sugar Creek... 

Unique, crystal clear, a challenge in wet seasons. 4 or 8 mile trips available in season. 

Elk River... 

Beautiful, clear, cool spring fed stream with lots of good beaches. Fishing is good on Elk River and adjoining streams. 4, 8 and 12 mile trips available. All float trips lengths are subject to the water conditions of the River.

Reservations are strongly recommended in advance to insure canoe, raft and/or kayak availability.  It is easy, a credit card is held on file to hold the reservation. When you arrive you are welcome to pay with this card or cash. It is up to you.


Years of experience have taught us how to handle large groups – our specialty.


We offer approximately 1/2 mile of stream frontage on over 11 acres of well-kept camping area. Electric hookups, city water, bath house with hot showers, flush toilets and picnic tables. 


We are very proud of our campground. To protect it for the future we must have rules and regulations:

A night watchman is on duty Friday and Saturday nights. Late arrivals will check with him and please set up camp as quickly and quietly as possible.

Driving Directions...

From Highway 71 North take the Pineville exit to the right.   Pass over the Elk River Bridge and turn left at the stop light. You will see Kozy Kamp in front of you!

From Highway 71 South, take the Pineville, Lanagan exit.  Left at stop sign, Right at next stop sign.   Down the hill to the traffic light.   Turn right into Kozy Kamp!

Mapquesting will get  you to Kozy Kamp, but it takes you the backway on dirt roads!!  Don't use Mapquesting! 

Policies & Rules

  • Two night minimum if reserving campsite Riverside.
  • Two night minimum on Weekends.      
  • PLEASE NOTE: Rafts require payment in full ( non-refundable) upon reservations
  • Canoe/ kayak/ raft reservations are held till 10AM Only.
  • Trips begin at approx. 8:30 am and will be put out until approx. 1 pm.
  • Price is for 3 people per canoe.
  • Large Rafts are 8 person maximum. NO pets allowed in rafts. NO fishing allowed in rafts.
  • Lost or Broken paddles - $20 • Lost life jackets - $10
  • NO Glass containers of any kind on the river or in camp.
  • You MUST have one lifejacket per person in each canoe (this is included in the rental price).
  • Trips are made rain or shine, if extreme conditions prevent starting your float by noon or float is called off, you will be issued a rain check for the date of your choice, based on availability.  If storm has passed by noon, no rain checks will be issued.    No Cash Refunds. 
  • All float lengths are determined by the water conditions of the River.  If water level is to low, and there is too much dragging for canoes, kayaks, rafts, float trips will be changed.  If this should happen, spend more time on the beaches and swimming to ensure a full day of fun.   Thanks for understanding that we do not control Mother Nature.
  • Camping fees include use of water and electric where available; also use of bathhouse with shower
  •  facilities.
  • Tents using an air conditioner will be charged an additional fee.
  • Dump Station is also available.
  • All pets MUST be kept on leases and cleaned up after, NO large or aggressive breeds allowed.
  • Children 6 yrs old and under are free.
  • NO Loud Radios allowed at anytime.
  • Night watchman on duty.
  • Quiet time - Midnight to 7 am.
  • Be courteous and respect your neighbors. If not you will be asked to leave.
  • No rain checks or refunds for camping.
